Mr. Devdas R. Shetty
Devdas R. Shetty is a visionary entrepreneur and the driving force behind the SUDE Group, one of the fastest-growing and globally recognized names in the automation industry. An engineer by profession, he began his journey after stepping away from his family’s hotel business in Mumbai and moving to Bangalore. In 1988, he entered the valve and actuator trading business, soon identifying a gap that led him to establish manufacturing operations.
Under his leadership, SUDE Group expanded into producing high-quality valves, actuators, and dampers, setting strong industry benchmarks. After two decades in Bangalore, he extended operations to Pune, marking the launch of SDTORK and the growth of SUDE Pune. SDTORK became one of India’s early manufacturers of electrical and electro-hydraulic actuators, while SUDE Pune gained recognition for advanced damper solutions.
Today, the group has a presence in over 12 countries across Europe and Southeast Asia, reflecting its strong global outlook.
Mr. Shetty’s legacy continues through the next generation—his daughter Prerana Shetty and son Yogin Shetty—who bring global education and technical expertise to further strengthen the group’s future.
Mr. Sunil Kurkute
Sunil Pandurang Kurkute serves as the Director of the SUDE Group, bringing over two decades of deep expertise in valve automation and the design and development of electrical actuators. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Pune University, Mr. Kurkute has consistently combined strong technical knowledge with practical industry insight to drive innovation and reliability across the organization.
Widely regarded as the backbone of both SUDE and SDTORK, his leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and reputation. His hands-on involvement in engineering, product development, and system design has enabled the company to deliver high-performance solutions that meet global standards and ensure strong customer satisfaction.
Mr. Kurkute has been actively involved in the design and development of valves, dampers, and actuators, contributing to the creation of robust and efficient industrial automation solutions. His commitment to continuous improvement and innovation is reflected in the group’s advancements in smart technologies.
One of his notable contributions includes successful research and development in smart pneumatic and electrical actuators capable of seamless integration with advanced communication protocols such as PROFIBUS and MODBUS. These innovations have positioned the SUDE Group at the forefront of modern industrial automation.
